Planning a weekend outing with the family or a quiet getaway for two? Escarpment Country™ offers a selection of hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts and campgrounds to suit every person and every budget from a deluxe hotel suite to a beautiful tent site.

When you work up a hunger after a vigorous day of outdoor activities, sightseeing or shopping, you can whet your appetite with mouth-watering fresh baked pies (with fruit right from the farmers’ orchard!), buttery, steaming hot corn on the cob (in season), heaping made-to-order sandwiches served at area farm market cafes… and don’t forget to take home some farm-made preserves!

For the adventurous, a fresh-off-the-grill ostrich burger will be something to talk about when you get home!

Downtown Milton provides travelers with a full range of restaurants from family service and pubs to ethnic (Italian, Thai, Japanese, Indian) cuisine and fine dining. What about a romantic fireside dinner in a 150-year-old stone-walled home?

Services: When it first opened in 1967 in the hamlet of Campbellville, the Mohawk Inn was billed as the first “electric motel” in Ontario – an establishment with a rustic, early-Canadian colonial style, and the comfort and convenience of “all electric” heating and cooling. Its objective was simple: to provide a restful atmosphere in which clients could relax and enjoy themselves. Since then, the Inn has been a favourite meeting place for locals and out-of-town travelers alike. A few things have changed over the years, but our mission remains the same – to maintain and enhance the Mohawk Inn’s reputation for top-notch hospitality. We have also recently refurbished the Inn – inside and out – with an eye to maintaining its original, cottage-like feel and rustic charm.
